Cutie Tootie hat

Recently I’ve been trying to get my stuff together. I have too many projects and not enough time in the day. But, by the grace of God I was able to find time to finally work on this hat I have been promising a good friend of mine for her daughter. It turned out darling just like her daughter!

Rd2: dc dec in next two dc, dc in next 6 dc, dc dec in last two dc, ch 2 turn.

Rd3: dc in each dc across, ch 2 turn.

Rd4: dc dec in next two dc, dc in next 4 dc, dc dec in last two dc, ch 2 turn.

Rd5: dc in each dc across, ch 2 turn.

Rd6: dc dec in next four dc, ch 2 turn.

Rd7: dc dec in next two, finish off.

Count over 17 stitches and repeat the ear flap to create the second ear flap.

For the braids I took 3 pieces of each color yarn (about 12 inches) and threaded then through the bottom of each earflap and braided them together and tied them off.

Trim the first two colors from the inside of the hat, weave them in. And voila you have a cutie tootie hat 🙂

P.S This is the first hat pattern I’ve written, if you see any problems let me know!
